WEEK 0

Assessment

We start by stripping it all back to find out where you are right now. What you can do, what's causing you pain, what motivates you and what doesn't. 

We'll take an in depth look at who you are, what you want to achieve and what the best strategy is to get you there. 

We lay the foundations here for the rest of the process.

WEEK 1-4

RESET

The training begins...

We place a heavy emphasis on strategies designed to get you training hard again...without pain.

We'll also touch base on nutrition and any behaviour changes that can help right away.

WEEK 5-8

REBUILD

By this point you should be training with less restriction.

You'll be training hard, regularly and feel like you're on the path towards your goals.

Check-ins will ensure we're making progress with pain, nutritional practices and you're feeling better day to day.

WEEK 9-12

REAWAKEN

Our initial goals should be ticked off by this point.

Your training practice will be embedded, your new goals clear in mind and you should be even clearer on how you're going to achieve them.

 The training journey will by no means be over but you'll be on the right path and the way forward will look awesome! 

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER 12 WEEKS?

You're dead to me...

Just kidding! We'll catch up as we'll always do every week throughout the 12 week process.

We'll review the process as a whole, touch on your training goals, how the Revival process might have shaped some new ones and develop a gameplan to keep moving you forward.

We maintain that perpetual cycle of success; Assess, Plan, Execute, Re-assess.

I work one on one with former athletes and rugby players from around the world who want to refocus on their training post playing career and feel athletic again.

 

As an S&C coach of a Nat 1 club it frustrates me to see so many former players “fall off the wagon” in terms of health and fitness when they’re done playing.

 

It’s rarely a case of a lack of motivation or an unwillingness to work hard, but a combination of changing priorities, unclear goals and a lack of guidance, strategy and accountability to get the job done.

 

Former athletes still benefit from the directing hand of coaches, even after they’ve finished playing.

 

But more than that, they benefit from someone who cares about their results but more importantly cares about them. 

 

I'm invested in the goals and successes of the clients I work with. The brotherhood of rugby doesn’t end on the field, and likewise, I don’t stop caring about the performance goals of players when they decide to hang up their boots. 

 

Over the past decade I’ve been lucky enough  to work with athletes from around the globe. Active players and former players alike who’ve gone on to achieve all sorts of fitness goals.

 

Whether that’s entering into new competitions or reaching new levels of fitness within the gym and expanding their life beyond it. 

 

I’ve dedicated the past decade of my life to being ‘in the trenches’ coaching people. At the club and online. 

 

I know and understand the challenges that former players and athletes face when it comes to their fitness, nutrition, performance and work/life balance beyond the field and would love to help you become an upgraded version of yourself…

My biggest challenge prior to working with Lyndon was overtraining/training with general, structural and unspecific exercises/programmes that would not benefit me in the long run. 

It often frustrated me when I would train hard and hit plateau's or feel like I wasn't making enough progress. I have always had goals and as anyone knows when they fall short or don't quite get the expected outcome it can be hard to process and then impact enthusiasm for training.

Since working with Lyndon the structure, progression, and input I get from his programming and mentoring help me daily. I've hit PB's in both my weight training and running. I've also completed some tough charity events, including an endurance challenge where I ran 10k a day for the whole of November, totalling 300km without injury or much fatigue.

 

If you are serious about your goals, then working with Lyndon, in my experience, is an easy decision to make. He guides and supports me with the best continued practise and professionalism and continually refines and develops his knowledge and practices what he preaches.

When we first started working together back in 2019 I was stuck in a really negative place after multiple knee reconstructions and a list of other rugby related injuries.

I was suffering mentally with direction in my training and not fully understanding the "why" behind it now that rugby wasn't an option. 

In the gym I was training solely for the purpose of exhausting myself, believing that, if I wasn't working as hard as I possibly could be then I wasn't really training. 

Lyndon addressed all of these issues right from their foundation all they way up to the behaviours that were leading me in the wrong direction. We got to the bottom of the things that motivated me and started laying out gaols and a road map to achieve them.

I was apprehensive at first, because, not having been coached outside a rugby environment before, I wasn't sure if it was for me or if it it was worth it. But, almost immediately i recognised I was making the right decision. 

I honestly couldn't recommend working with Lyndon more. His knowledge and experience towards training and physical wellbeing is second to none and as a result of this I was able to take my training to another level.

Like a lot of rugby players I've suffered my fair share of injuries over the years. But, after some particularly frustrating knee injuries I was feeling pretty vulnerable about playing and training.

Up until that point I'd mainly been training for general strength and bodybuilding, but I started to realise I really need to be increasing my resilience, robustness and fitness. 

Over the 5 years I've been working with Lyndon he's successfully rehabbed me back from several rugby injuries, helped me to all time lifting PB's as well as rowing times, running times and most importantly kept me healthy!

If you have a goal in mind you won't find anyone with closer attention to detail in setting you a plan to get there, whilst simultaneously placing the utmost emphasis on your long term physical wellbeing.
